I reckon that if I’ve had the guts/stupidity to share my god function, then I can reveal this next thing:
It’s an idea which has been recurring (rather persistently of late) so I am finally writing it down (in a more or less public place) just to get it out of my system once and for all. I’d be very interested if any of this rings true to anyone…
A Universal Law of Giving
At the moment of giving,
All that can be given is given; not less than this, and not more than this.
Moreover, all that is held is given.
It profits no one to feel anger or disappointment at having given too little, or too much; all that one has is precisely what one gives away.
At a different moment of giving – eons or instants sooner, or later – what one has/gives may be different.
At the moment of receiving,
All that can be received is received; not less than this, and not more than this.
Moreover, all that is held is what is received.
It profits no one to feel anger or disappointment at having received too little, or too much; all that one has is precisely what one receives.
At a different moment of receiving – eons or instants sooner, or later – what one has/receives may be different.
OK so taken literally, its a bit hooey… but try NOT taking it literally for just 2 seconds and you’ll see the implications are pretty inescapable. The implications have nothing to do with transactions…
image cred: Michelangelo’s ‘God creating Adam’, tweaked. Obviously.
